Milestones

Celebrating a birthday, anniversary, new child or grandchild, job promotion or other major life event? To share your simcha with your Beth El family, contact Erin Katz Ford at info@bethelakron.org or 330-864-2105 x118.

Donations to Beth El are a wonderful way to recognize a simcha, honor or memorialize family or friends, or just to contribute to one of the Beth El programs you wish to support. These contributions may be made in a number of ways:

Tribute Cards

Tribute cards are a meaningful way to offer a Mazel Tov or words of sympathy for happy or sad occasions. For a minimum contribution of $10, a tribute card will be mailed to the recipient acknowledging you as the donor. This card includes the name of the fund you have chosen but does not list the amount given.  For a complete list of our donation funds, click here.

Donations can be made online, or by sending a check or calling the office with a credit card at 330-864-2105.

Sponsor a Shabbat Kiddush or become a Sustainer

The Kiddush exists as an extension of the Shabbat Service. Friend meets friend, new friendships form, families share a nosh together, and our clergy share a laugh with us. Simple, yes. But, this powerful act of a congregational Shabbat Kiddush is strengthening our community, growing ruach and camaraderie.

Shabbat Kiddush is made possible through contributions of those celebrating simchas, remembering a loved one, and those who just want to support a wonderful communal experience. To become a one time or sustaining Shabbat Kiddush donor, click here.

A sponsored kiddush can be modest, or you can feel free to make the kiddush something to remember! To host Shabbat Kiddush click here.

Tree of Life

Commemorate the significant moments in your life through the purchase of a leaf on our beautiful custom-designed Tree of Life. Our collection of names and events tells the beautiful story of our history and our connection to each other through the generations.

Each leaf is a lovingly engraved reminder of B’nei Mitzvah, births, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, honors and other simchas. The cost of each leaf is $125. You may make your purchase by contacting Sherry Leubitz at 330-867-0364.

Memorial Plaques

One of the time-honored ways we keep the memories of our loved ones alive is by memorializing their names on a plaque in our sanctuary. The walls on both sides of our sanctuary contain space for memorial plaques. Memorial plaques may be reserved, and we can group the plaques of family members, in existing available space.

If you would like to honor your loved one in this way, please print and complete this form (link to pdf form to follow) and mail it in with your payment. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Katz Ford at 330.864.2105 x118.
