Beth El has always been, at our core, a family. Connecting our community is at the center of who we are. Volunteering, serving on the board, studying together, mentoring our religious school students or gathering for social action – there are a myriad of ways to get involved and make Beth El your community.
Beth El members participate in a variety of projects and programs throughout the year to benefit those less fortunate in the greater Akron area. Here is a partial list of those projects:
“We are all responsible for one another.” Talmud Shavuot 39a
Beth El has renewed its commitment to the mitzvah of loving our neighbors as ourselves. The Caring Team makes new connections across our community and offers support, visits, meals, and kindness to those experiencing both difficult and uplifting moments. The best thing about the Caring Team is that everyone is on it – we are all part of the mitzvah!
If you are aware of someone who could use personal outreach from the Caring Team, please contact one of our co-chairs, Andrew Rabinovitz or Debbie Saferstein.
Volunteers are the heart of the Caring Team! Our work is a labor of love, won’t you join us? Interested in volunteering for, or are you in need of services from the Beth El Caring Committee? Please contact us.
